6 Mondays from 7-9:30pm 5/11 through 6/22, no class Memorial Day Skill Level: Beginner Review our Skill Level Descriptions and Expectations This is an Adult Class for ages 16 Instructor: Camille Let’s start at the very beginning [a very good place to start] and learn how to make a quilt! This course is designed so that if you’re new to quilting or sewing altogether you will be able to create a beautiful quilt from start to finish. Camille will walk you through each step of the process: reading a quilt pattern, cutting with the rotary cutter, various piecing techniques, proper pressing, types of batting and methods of quilt basting, topstitching/quilting, binding your quilt. We offer this course 3 times a year and rotate through beginner friendly patterns so you can sew and practice with us again and again! Please be aware that we cannot accommodate make up classes, so students will have to do homework on their own or schedule a private lesson if needed. Quilts are excellent first projects, they are tons of practice sewing straight lines! Materials to bring with you to class: (all registered students get 15% off in our shop!) Please be on time for class with your materials ready to go. 8 Fat Quarters (18” x 22” cut of fabric) Keep in mind that you cannot control the “direction” of the blocks in this pattern.
