The LAFC is hung from the true ceiling and sits in one of the open. We suggest you use a drywall jack to easily lift the unit into place. hang the LAFC using chains, cables or wire. Building the LAFC into a standard ceiling is a very popular way to mount the LAFC. If the ceiling rafters are 24 inches on center, the unit fits easily into the open space. If you have a 16″ om center rafters, you will need to cut one rafter, add two headers, and finish off with a trimmer rafter as shown below.
